"And the doctor said..."

Wow - the day I'd been anticipating and dreading all at once finally arrived!! Our first prenatal doctor's appointment. Yeah, I had to pee in a cup and get my blood drawn and other simply obtrusive procedures, but the coolest thing ever (in the whole world) was to see something sort-of human shaped moving around inside me, INSIDE ME!!!! WOW. Everything looked normal, said the doctor, and Tim and I are well on our way to being the newest parents among our friends and family. Super unexpected and yet, at this point, very exciting! I might have a different adjective 4 months from now, but we'll stick with excited at this point...
