New realization: I might have more blog readers (besides Peter's two grandmas) who comment if I post something besides pictures of Peter. But he is soooo cute! So, here are some tidbits from my brain this evening as I'm waiting for my husband to finish changing the oil in our car. I was really really bored at times during pregnancy and this was very depressing. I hoped that having a baby would liven things up a bit and help the days pass more quickly! However, I haven't really had a chance to live a typical day in the life of a stay-at-home-mom (SAHM) yet - summer has brought with it mulitudes of things to keep me busy, beyond the needs of a new baby. We've been very active with our new friends here in Vancouver, swimming, hiking, playing ultimate frisbee, etc. Then came berry-picking season which saw our family out in the fields enough times to pick over 100 pounds of blueberries...and then me in the kitchen trying to get them all washed, sorted, bagged and into the freezer in between Peter feedings! Then came the four Sabbaths in a row where we were travelling - to Lakebay, WA for a family reunion, then to Gladstone Campmeeting, and then over to Chelan for some more family time and up to Hope, BC for another week of fun with friends and family. Peter was exhausted by the time we returned - he's still sleeping more than usual! It was good to get him out and show him off a bit. He's a real trooper! So, just when things should be slowing back down into a routine, I'm working against a deadline - gotta get the house packed and cleaned and get out of dodge by August 31st! Wow. So much for living the typical life. Maybe I'll be bored by the time snow flies...except then Peter will probably start crawling/walking. It's so good for me - I love being busy and being Peter's mommy! So, pregnancy was rough, but the rewards are unending. :) And, now it's time for sleeping...
