Baby Talk

I've recently been asked if I could post something 'non-Peter'. Tim is in the other room typing like a madman and I'm sure it'll be hilariously creative. What can I write about?? I did go shopping this morning...and bought clothes for Peter. I scrapbooked this afternoon...pictures of Peter. hmmm I clipped my fingernails...and scheduled a haircut in a couple weeks! That should count for something right?

Seriously though, my life is incredibly wrapped around my 9-month-old son. I can't go grocery shopping because it's naptime and he's still asleep. I drive across town to check out a sale and when I get there he's blissfully snoring in the backseat so I turn around and drive home. Don't get me wrong -- naps are good -- they just minimize what I can do!

I've learned how to blow-dry my hair with a crawler on the loose, pry computer cords out of his little fingers (and mouth), and sweep/vacuum the floor much more often (or he'll do the job for me)!

I think Peter would agree with me that our favorite time of day is mid-afternoon when we bundle up and venture outside for a walk. Sometimes the sun is shining, the birds are singing and we get to watch the ducks and geese do their thing. It's just a nice break from the indoor toys and computers -- a chance to get blood and oxygen moving around.

Well, I'm failing miserably at posting anything besides baby talk. :) I will try harder next time. Until then -- GOODNIGHT! And may we all sleep through the night...
