My Next Things...
As you can see, my list of things has dropped significantly. The house is no longer clean, but I certainly enjoyed it while it was. The "lawn hump" was removed yesterday (thanks, Tim!) and the fourth raised bed is finished and planted with carrots and beets, again thanks to my hard-working husband. I should really get some pictures of the garden...it's something we're pretty proud of. :) Two more raised beds to finish...
Peter's birthday party went off without a hitch. I think he really enjoyed it! My favorite parts were marching to "The Ants Go Marching", dancing to "The Flight of the Bumblebee", and watching the kids try to hit the ladybug pinata with a foam baseball bat. It's a new concept. We really shouldn't be teaching our kids violent behavior like this! Most of them were very gentle. :) Tim finally had to break the crazy thing open.
So, my list is down to pretty much one thing -- pack my hospital bag. I really don't want to pack prematurely...and somehow don't even really know what to take...but I'm doing pretty horribly at my long term goal -- making it to June!! I'm not sleeping as well, my feet are swollen by the end of the day, my back still hurts periodically, in general -- I'm just tired of carrying around this much extra weight! I'm ready for the scales to start going the other direction. So, I'm pretty focused on getting this baby out. I want to see his cute little face!
The one other thing I'm working on, mostly to keep my mind occupied during these last few weeks of waiting, is Kindermusik training. I'm aware of the need in our community for musical opportunities for the very young. I'm hoping, in the future, to find enough time in my schedule to teach a couple classes -- for newborns and toddlers. So this week I have some webinars to attend, classes to observe, discussion boards to post on, etc. Should be fun!
Oh, and Tim is taking me out to a play on Thursday -- Sense and Sensibility. We'll see if he survives the two hours! ;)
