Family of Four

We had to say goodbye to two very special people today. Tim's parents have been here for the last few days and we're sad to see them go. Peter has been loving the extra attention, which helps a lot when we're so busy with Ezra.

I'm happy to report that so far Peter is adjusting to change VERY well. Sure, he sits in the baby bouncer with a binky in his mouth, but it's all good. =D He wakes up asking to see the baby and loves to give Ezra kisses. He watches his every move and points to all his body parts -- "eyes!" "nose!" "hands!"

Ezra is eating like a champion! He had lost some weight by day 2 of his life (8 lbs 3 oz) but was back above his birth weight by today (9lbs 2oz)! Sometimes it takes 3, 4, or more servings to fill him up satisfactorily. Needless to say, it's a full time job for me right now.

My body is slowly getting back to normal. My appetite hasn't been as ravenous as I expected it to be, but that's definitely not due to a lack of tasty options. We received a bounty of yum-yum tonight from a friend. Thanks! More sleep and exercise should have me closer to normal soon.

Tim installed the infant sling for the Chariot this afternoon and is of course, gadget-happy. =D Ezra seems to really like it -- we'll try it out on a walk this evening. Tim is feeling a bit better after a nap this afternoon...he gets kinda silly without enough sleep. We both slept at least two hours this afternoon while Peter slept and Ezra went for a walk with his grandparents. So nice.

Life is still very much in slow-motion. Eat, sleep, eat, sleep, REPEAT. But we're a family of four. And we're happy.
