It's a Circle

Last week was "Circle Week" in Toddler Time (which we follow very loosely) and we learned this song:

(to the tune of Frere Jacques)

It's a circle, it's a circle,
How can you tell? how can you tell?
It goes round and round
No end can be found
It's a circle, it's a circle!

On our walk this morning, I started singing the song to Peter who wanted it repeated again and again (so he could learn the words). Soon, he had it all figured out and wanted to see what I would come up with when he changed the words!! He said "it's a water!" so we sang...It's some water, it's some water, How can you tell? how can you tell? It makes a puddle, with mud it makes a muddle, It's some water, it's some water!

We didn't stop there! Here are some of our best verses: =)

It's a tree, it's a tree,
How can you tell? how can you tell?
It grows up big and high
It's leaves touch the sky
It's a tree, it's a tree!

It's a car, it's a car,
How can you tell? how can you tell?
It's noisy and it's fast
It uses lots of gas
It's a car, it's a car!

It's a mommy, it's a mommy,
How can you tell? how can you tell?
She's silly and she's funny
She doesn't make any money
It's a mommy, it's a mommy!
