Winter Is Coming
We decorated the Cradle Roll classroom with fir trees and Christmas lights last night. The babe Jesus in the manger with sheep and cows all around. The star and the angels. How can I deny that winter is coming?
Instead of the 80 degree weather we had last weekend, the high this week is 65 degrees. The leaves are falling from the trees, my flowers are dying. There are still roughly 35 green tomatoes on the vines. But winter IS coming.
It's the first day of October tomorrow. I need to embrace the change in season. But I want to wear my flip flops and sleeveless shirts!! Why oh why. Come back summer!!!
