Love Me Tender
Love languages. Ever heard of them?? There are five -- Physical Touch, Words of Affirmation, Gifts, Quality Time, and Acts of Service.
Being that Valentines Day is around the corner, I thought it would be a good time to reanalyze and try to label myself and the people closest to me. Easier said than done.
Taking a quiz might help, right??
hmmmm -- I feel loved when my husband helps out with the laundry. CHECK. I feel loved when my husband tells me he is proud of me. CHECK. I love it when my husband gives me a massage. YOU BET. My husband sometimes runs errands for me and I appreciate that. MMHMMM. I love having my husband's undivided attention. =)
But I did come up with a top two (and a close third):
1. Words of Affirmation
2. Quality Time
3. Acts of Service
Gifts really is at the bottom of my list -- interesting that neither of us speak that language very well. We need to learn to speak it for the people in our lives that DO like gifts! ;)
My guess is that Peter's top languages are similar to mine. He absolutely GLOWS when receiving praise. I've caught him saying "good job, Peter" on occasion. And he definitely likes spending quality time with people. He really appreciates having someone's full attention.
Tim and Ezra are my wild cards -- still trying to figure them out. I know, I should have my husband figured out by now, right? Well...I've narrowed it down to four!! Maybe I'll have him take the quiz.
