Tower of Herbs
I got the idea from Martha Stewart Living.
I love the idea of using fresh homegrown herbs in the summer, especially cilantro, dill, and basil, which we seem to use a lot of (think salsa, potato salad, and tomato-basil sandwiches). I'm eager for summer foods...tired of the winter varieties.
Isn't it nice that we have seasons to shake it up a little?
So on Sunday we took a family trip to Home Depot (woohoo, outing!) to look for pots. I found three that matched pretty well...and were good quality, so they shouldn't fade in the sunshine. The bottom one is plastic, so not too heavy.
Peter helped me fill it up with dirt this morning! What a great helper.
OH! So the point of this is -- I'll keep it in the sun right outside my sliding glass door (close to the kitchen). Then maybe I won't be too lazy to GET IT when I'm cooking. ;)
I plan to plant seed in two weeks (end of March) and I'll post pictures of the blooming product later!!
