Tell Me One More Time
So I like a bit of praise from time to time.
A little affirmation. A sincere word of appreciation.
It fills up my love tank.
This morning, I came upon a new tank-filling strategy. Picture my husband and I, in the kitchen, cooking/cleaning (whatever we were doing). He comes up to me and says,
"You are amazing, honey." {with a teeny tiny bit of obviously, why do I even need to say it in his voice}
I replied, "What?" {with a twinkle in my eye}
"You are really amazing, honey!" {more emphatically, with a kiss thrown in for good luck}
I said, "One more time?" {a smirk}
This time I get the really serious look. Some more words of affirmation {they escape me now} and a dipped cone kiss. WOW.
That was better.
I'll have to remember that.
