Childhood Five
Peter held two stuffed animals up to his head and pretended they were each whispering into his ears, one on each side. He said "this one doesn't hear this one...but I hear both of them".
-----
There have been plenty of questions lately -- "What are we doing Tuesday? What do we do Wednesday night? Where are we going this weekend?" My little planner.
-----
At swimming lessons last week, Peter was given the option of "free swim" for five minutes. He declined and started heading for mommy. The teacher asked him again, "don't you want to swim around in the water for a few minutes" to which he answered -- "maybe not".
-----
A few weeks ago, I introduced Peter to Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? For quite a few minutes during our car ride to the coast, Peter contributed his own monologue in the same style. "What do you see, fish? I see a tree looking at me..." and so on... I just love his lilting little voice.
-----
Peter asks himself {and answers himself} while eating, "Why is it so hot? Because it is a HOT DOG."
