Snowballs, Cranberries and a Mad Lib

Sometimes you really need to read a poem. Like on a day like today. Poetry may provide comic relief. It may provide stress release. It may center your soul. This one warmed my heart. Not my bed. Yes, I have kids.

I made myself a snow ball as perfect as could be
I thought I'd keep it as a pet and let it sleep with me
I made it some pajamas and a pillow for it's head
Then, last night it ran away
But first -- it wet the bed.
- Shel Silverstein

I had a cranberry fest today. What better to gaze upon than these succulent sour little creatures? What better to eat than a zesty lemony scone layered with chopped up cranberries? Pictures?? You think I got that far? Oven------->mouth. No layovers. The lemon cranberry muffins mini-cakes needed some company in my tummy.

Back to our regular programming tomorrow. Pumpkin. Hopefully pies and rolls. With some yam yums thrown in for good measure. You know I only eat a bite and give away the rest, right? ;p Come over and eat some leftovers, will ya?
