Christmas is for the Birds

I got the idea from saltwater-kids.com {very cool site}. I had never thought to make bird-seed ornaments with cookie cutters! And these were super easy to make {although not as 3-year-old compatible as I had hoped -- very sticky mixture and a bit tricky to get into the molds}. They were a bit crumblier than I had hoped, but most held together well. We hung them in the front yard.

Now we will wait for the hungry birds to come so we can sing our rousing version of O Christmas Tree.

O Christmas Tree
O Christmas Tree
How lovely are your branches
{repeat}
You teasify and pestify {cue daddy and Peter}
You keep the birdies fed and dry {cue mommy}
O Christmas Tree
O Christmas Tree
How lovely are your branches {loud, high note}

And this gazebo was an impulse buy when I was at Joanne's buying fabric for the {indoor} tree. Peter enjoyed painting it a few days ago...and voila.

Come birds. We are ready to see you.
