Our New Digs and Stuff | Weekending

So here are a sampling of rooms from our new little house, a rental near the river with a big backyard. We couldn't love it more! Well, we could do without the constant puddle in just the wrong place in the carport and the way the shower gets scalding hot whenever someone flushes the toilet. But, you know. Little things.

There are BIG windows in the living area and dining nook, and just enough space in the two bedrooms for us to sleep and play [I've since unpacked the rest of those boxes]. Not pictured is the downstairs which is very functional as a storage area, nerd den for the boys and laundry space complete with clotheslines strung across the ceiling. You'll often see our snow pants hanging there to dry because...this place has SNOW in the winter!!

We have spent a bunch of our free time cross country skiing [from our house], sledding [multiple places], and shoveling out the driveway! Do you see that huge tree in our backyard? It's begging for a hammock up in those branches...

Currently:
Eating | What would I do without chicken corn enchiladas in my belly right now? Seriously.
Enjoying | The feeling of having all my people together, cozy, in this little house. We are just together more. #answertoprayer
Listening | I've been listening to podcasts a lot more lately. I have two new favorites: The God Centered Mom and Read Aloud Revival.
Thankful for | My new part-time job teaching Kindergarten music. It feels like the job was custom designed for me. I love it so much. And the schedule couldn't have worked out better either!!! Perfection.
Pinning | A ton of music lesson ideas and these make-ahead breakfast recipes.
Planning | Our weekend. Polar bear plunge, more cross country skiing, and fireworks are on the schedule!
Putting off | Sewing new curtains for the bedrooms, kitchen and dining room. I really want to. I have no idea how to. I don't want to waste time and money on something that looks horrible.
