A College Boy | April 2025

Life has taken a bit of a turn with my boy Pete needing to take a class in Seattle [not offered at our local community college]. So instead of circling the globe in a window seat, I've been driving back and forth the 2.5 hours to the city. It's different, but I'm very happy to spend more time with my dear boys before they leave the homey nest.

I just saw this quote on Instagram today -- "The sad part about motherhood is that you're raising the one thing you can't live without to live without you." *big fat tears*

We'll only have one little bird in the nest next school year and we're all feeling the sadness of that. It's been really fun hanging out as a family of four. We've had a blast. I don't want it to be over already.

Ezra and I started the month with a quick trip down to HOT Tampa for the Sun n'Fun airshow! We especially enjoyed the night show with pyrotechnics and the F35 fly-bys!!!

I've been able to enjoy a couple excursions in the Seattle area, visiting the cherry trees on the UW campus, hiking to the top of Mt. Si, biking through Kirkland and Bothell, and visiting the tulip fields in Mt. Vernon. I also took a trip up to Canada to visit my grandma.
I would say the theme of April has been flowers!! I have been noticing them more than ever before...and I haven't been able to zoom around the world distracting myself with other things!
So now we're swooping into May and our 6-week birthday zone!! Everyone is turning a year older and this time Tim is the only odd one!! I still want to get over to Ireland, but it might not happen this month...

it's okay, it's okay
