A Good Start

This weekend, while daddy was pedaling his new limey green road bike, Peter and I planted a few tomato seeds. We're hoping to get a really good start so as to avoid the hundreds of still-green tomatoes on the vines post-first-frost.

Goal = 36 plants at least 12 inches tall by May; Requires diligence in watering, sunning, and fresh-airing; Also requires a transplant into bigger growing apparatuses mid-way.

Peter had the best time watching these little peat pods grow after soaking them with warm water. We listened to them crackling. We smelled the mustyness.

Then we planted the seeds. And check to see if they have grown. Every five minutes.

May your tomatoes be many. And may they be BIG.
