Oh Deer
It was Friday. Time for a field trip.
We drove up to the lake...hoping for a bit of a swim.
But the gate was still closed, so we had to walk about a mile in. And I forgot Peter's life jacket and pool noodle.
By the time we reached the lake, we were ready for our picnic lunch. So was this deer who came to investigate and scared the shorts off mommy.
He wasn't afraid of us at all!! Canadian deer have more sense. ;p
The water was just a bit too cold for swimming, so we dipped our feet in and then began the trek back to the car.
In all the excitement with the too-friendly deer, I forgot my little Pentax camera by the lake and didn't realize it until we were back at the car!! Thank goodness for friendly folk with bikes who were willing to ride down and retrieve it for me!
