Back In Town
This housewife is back in town, with her boys.
Emotions are thick, my eyelids are heavy, I'm having reverse culture shock.
Driving on the highway last night felt so weird.
I feel disconnected from friends and family. Like you "had to be there" to understand. My boys weren't ecstatic to see me. Life goes on. Laundry to be done. Food to be prepared.
The only excitement today had to do with a half bottle of shampoo and some bubbles.
So forgive me if the wind seems to be out of my sails for a few days.
I'm transitioning back to "normal" life, re-evalutating priorities {again}, and looking for beauty in the small things.
Cause you can't live all of life on a mountain-top. And there's beauty in the valleys too.
