{faith} on beauty

Beauty is skin deep, in the eye of the beholder, temporary?

Or beauty is a thousand birds singing praise at the sunrise on a resurrection morning

It's what a father tells his daughter, again and again
It's blue sky after a storm

Even young mothers, bodies giving giving giving
lost in the sleepless monotony of loving others, want to be beautiful
they are

Beauty is Him saying "neither do I condemn you" to her mascara streaked face
Beauty is His beckoning gaze, lap full of children, saying "forbid them not"
Beauty is arms outstretched, head bent down, whispering "it is finished"

Beauty is character
Beauty is loveliness
Beauty is a smile in the eyes

It can be blazing, glorious, eye-squinting splendor, promises coming true, long-awaited

"When he finally arrives, blazing in beauty and all his angels with him,
the Son of Man will take his place on his glorious throne." Matthew 25:31

It can be the tiniest buds of spring, tightly packed, waiting, ready to explode in full color

Beauty is you
Beauty is me
Beauty is a cross
Beauty is forever
